About Our Club

The Belair ATV Club operates in a large catchment area in the east beaches region and Belair Forest in Manitoba.  The Belair ATV Club was formed on February 29, 2016!  Hartley Pokrant was the founding President and served in that role for 8 years through to 2024.  The Belair ATV Club is a member of the umbrella organization of ATV Clubs in Manitoba known as ATV Manitoba (ATVMB). The Belair ATV club has been fostered with support of the local recreational user memberships and local municipal support with a potential to grow a multi-use trail on crown and private lands within the Belair Forest being in the center of the catchment area.

There are other recreational trail uses in the area for which the Belair ATV Club has working relationships including the two local snowmobile clubs (part of Snoman) and the Red River North Trail Association Inc. (RRNTA), which are also stewards for the Trans Canada Trail in the RMs of Alexander and St. Clements and the Town of Powerview – Pine Falls.

The Belair ATV Club is looking forward to working with the Snoman and ATVMB clubs to develop relationships through sharing of ideas and education for users.  Local Municipal support is critical for Belair ATV in order to bring a coordinated awareness campaign to local, full time residents along with seasonal recreators.  There are over 500 hundred kilometers of trails in the Belair Forest and Mars Hills and the Belair ATV Club manages and signs a large network of over 155 kms of designated trails approved by the Province and two Municipalities.

The Belair ATV Club captures a wide array of picturesque upland trails in the beautiful Belair Forest and has access to the outstanding east beaches area and includes endless sandy forest trails and some former rail line corridors and drive access to countless services.  There is a unique opportunity to provide multi-use community to community trail connectivity via our 72 km long Whistle Pig Rail Trail corridor running from East Selkirk to Pine Falls, being the former CEMR (previously CN Rail line).

We have made excellent progress and have a strong membership and the future is promising for this area.
